What is this SSL stuff?
You may have noticed while checking your webmail lately that there is a little padlock on the lower right corner of your browser. Or maybe you've seen "128-bit SSL encryption" on other sites.
What is SSL anyway? Well, it's basically code-talking.
When you go to check your Four Seasons Wireless email on our website, your browser is told to speak in a "secret" language. So, while logged into your webmail via 128-bit SSL (which is what we have keeping your information secure) all data you transmit is encrypted. Instead of being sent as, "My credit card number is 12345678ABCDEFGH" your browser says, "asdfkj98230nm, sndlviup8oin lkjaw[40239jfnm". A string of essentially nonsense characters is passed between server and browser, a nonsense that only those two guys can understand.
